I know. But factor in the fisheries the bait and tackle shops etc.

Why would you ban a recreational sport? A lot of people go fishing and let the fish go. It’s a competitive sport as well.
It probably helps destress a lot of people and is good for their mental health. Plenty of fresh air too.
