It can come across as game playing if you have to debate when is best to reply to a message. Just reply. It’s not needy it’s polite surely? |

When I have time. If I’m on here chatting with someone then it’s literally back and forth, other times it can be hours before I respond if I’m busy in the real world |

I reply as soon as I see it. Or I don't, if I'm tired and can't string a sentence together.
That might piss some people off, but it's better than one word replies. |

I try and answer when I get it. If I cant I will usually forget about it when I return. I do tend to wait for the received 'just this minute' message to flip to 1 minute so I dont appear as ìf Im sat there tongue out waiting. |

A friend messaged me on WhatsApp this morning and I read it just as I was going out and forgot to reply until this afternoon. I forget too easily!  |

If I'm online I reply when I see it. Isn't that as near to how chat works in the real world.
If I'm not then I reply when I come back online. It's seems like the polite thing to do.
But then my inbox is rarely overflowing.... |
