People that can’t take no for an answer

After initially doing the polite “thanks, but no thanks” thing to messages, we have decided to go for the no reply strategy. The reason is not volume, but because when we say no, we get “why not?” or “what’s wrong with us?” Why does it seem so hard to understand that nobody appeals to everyone?

Easier to block them after saying no thanks.

No comebacks, no problem.

If you're 100% sure you'll never want to meet and aren't interested in random conversation?

Just block

It's nothing personal. Just another filter.

Delete and block, clearly too pushy, and not the type for you, imagine the disaster when you meet, that is if they would have the balls to meet. I say that because I doubt they’d every ask “why not” if you rejected them in person.

I very rarely get any rudeness back when I politely decline. If anything its when I ignore messages

We rarely get arguments when we say no to someone. More often than not we get a polite response thanking us for our answer. Very occasionally someone argues that's when we block.

Because fab is all about them.you are just another couple/female/male on a site for sexually liberated people.

Your thoughts and wishes are irrelevant.

That's my take anyway, and why I rarely reply to those that don't meet our profile wants.

Oh yes, we’d never want to meet anyone who is pushy, I just don’t get the mentality that gets people to get so defensive about a no. We’ll use the block function a little more often from now on!

I always reply to first messages. I give a polite reason.

If they reply again I usually ignore as I already said no so there's nothing else to say.

When I feel it's required, I reply to say I'd never meet anyone that can't take "no" for an answer. That usually gets a humble reply back apologising, so I wish them well.

I like to think it will make them be more respectful to the next people they mail. Maybe... maybe not....
