I’m allergic to porridge oats. Only discovered this when I hated porridge but knew it was healthy so forced myself to eat it every morning

I liked strawberry and banana porridge

Nothing or some fruit. Blueberries and banana add a nice natural sweetness with some honey. I had a big bowl this morning after reading ignites thread. Still full now so going to start eating it daily again

Quaker or Scott’s. Both of these taste so much better than the microwave sachets like Oat So Simple.

I make mine on the stove in the Scottish style - made with water & pinch of salt. When it's done, sir in some milk & then either top it with some jam or as a change, chopped banana & cinnamon.

Mornflake Superfast Oats are good if you can find them. Something that is just 100% wholegrain oats and nothing else.

Somewhere nearby

Apples and cinnamon cooked down til the apples are like sauce, and then added to porridge made with milk and mixed through.

I do it and freeze it in individual portions and then bung it in when I’m making the porridge

My first post for 2019 and you know it had to be in a food thread! Honey pretty much goes with everything so that is standard. Fruit is nice, but my favourite porridge is with golden syrup.

Central Scotland

I should say salt because I'm Scottish but honestly, golden syrup every time. Brown sugar at a push if there's none of the first choice.

That sounds delish. Must give that a try. So, porridge made with milk, and drizzle of honey for sweetness, and pretty well any fruit on top.
