I've just tried to call most of the people who are in ma phonebook, not just people on fab, mostly to wish them a Happy New Year and all that

A few of them were "This number is no longer recognised", so that wiped out about 30% of it, although I did get through to a couple of sexy ladies on here and about 2 mates who went to answerphone.

How often do you clear your Phonebook out?

Never. . I have contacts in my phone that I haven't spoken to for years.

Every few months I check to see if there's anyone who asked to meet but it didn't happen or we haven't spoken for ages.

I don't like old contacts stuffing up my phone book.

Exactly, how many Dave's can a man know, I had about 12 at one point, but I thought a New Year's cull was in order

Sometimes U.K

Whenever I try to message an unrecognised number and realise I should clean out my contacts. Can vary from weeks to months

Cleaned it out in November. A huge reduction but all I need is take-aways and taxis

A world all of his own

Usually when I get a new phone or if I know I've lost contact with someone, I'll delete their number immediately.

I had about 40 for some strange reason, there may be more to follow when some strange chap discovers that I'm not actually his long lost Uncle from Mexico, or Uganda

I've got a stupid amount, most due to work. It needs a clear out, but I wouldn't even know where to start. So never is the answer

As an aside, do you have 2 separate phones?

I only have the one number, but only people who I have actually met and trust get it

I've cleared out lots of things lately. All my phones, old email addresses, updated my other profiles. De-clutter.

I keep numbers for ages just in case something crops up. A lot of mine are temp agencies. Once I eventually move back south, I'll delete them

When I changed my phone I lost just about all of my contracts.

So if you want me message me your numbers, real and fab names help too.

Mine only got cleared as my last phone died and it wasn't backed up.

Up to then, I even had numbers for dead people in my phone book

Every time I acquire a new number, I physically write it down in a book as well

I've had a few mates die in the last few years, but I know what you mean, it somehow seems hard to delete those numbers

It's strange isn't it that keeping a phone number matters...
