A decent restaurant will not allow it if they are unlikely to fill the table. And can charge you for it still.

Me

Proper lazy evening

We fancied a chippy supper, but only £3 in cash between us

A cash machine would be a drive away, whereas the chip shop is a 90 second walk

That's too much trouble, so looks like a concoction based on whatever is lurking in the freezer

Really??thanks for that.

I'm just looking at it from a small pub/restaurant point of view.Fully booked turning others way weeks beforehand got extra staff in on extra pay but then someone just decides they can't be arsed.I think it is poor form.

I agree with you but not going out and spreading lurgy is a good reason not to go out, or shall we infect others. As we are regulars at this place then I know they will understand.

Couldn't you leave them some valuables as a deposit til you can get to a cashpoint?

Like a grandfather clock or some family silver?

No need

We've had a result

There was a full unopened pack of chilli cheese bites in there and some quorn nuggets

Few beans and job's a good 'un

(altho I am thinking 'a few chippy chips would just finish this little ensemble off nicely')

Me.

I may just binge watch Game of Thrones or something, while scoffing a box of Celebrations. Hubby will be in bed as he started work at 5am, so I will be on my lonesome.

Winner!

Please tell me a portion of chips isn't over £3?

I'm currently enjoying one of the post Xmas bargains. A bag of mini toblerones. Mostly the dark ones as Fox doesn't like them.
