Now I'm sure we all know the russo brothers are not beyond making fans think one thing before another happens... Look at the trailers for infinity War as example.

If the negotiations are going well, an end credit scene could have already been shot. It wouldn't detract from the story and open up a whole new raft of characters now the first wave of MCU movies is over |

Disney can't use the Fox characters till the deal is complete as it will get them in trouble with the USA government as it still has to pass though government scrutiny, besides Endgame is all ready done filming.
