For me it was meeting someone. Yes it ended and I'm a bit hurt but he helped show me how it's meant to be. Even if it was just for a few month's.
Great news about your grandson |

"Finally coming to terms with my alcohol addiction and seeking help. Hubby couldn’t have been more supportive. Now three months clean "
Well done you! Keep it going
For me it was meeting someone, building a good relationship with them and classing them as a close friend and confidant in the real world now. How things will work out for us who knows but I’m glad she came into my life. |

"what was it. I think mine was my holiday in torquay every day was perfect and my grandsons dianoses being changed from non verbal to delayed speech"
Do you still do a jar with little notes to remind you of happy memories? I'm sure it was you that mentioned this a few years ago. I still credit you with the idea anyway. |

I think it has to be collecting my cat Polly from the emergency vets and being told all was ok, she’s only got diabetes, she’s now stable and it’s easily managed in the future.
A couple of days earlier she had been about an hour away from death, caused by diabetic ketoacidosis from her blood glucose being so high and we’d had no idea she was diabetic.
She’s my baby. She’s 14 and I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. I call her Velcro kitty as she’s always stuck to me. I got her shortly after I lost my first child and she’s helped me get through so much |

"There was one huge positive for us but it's a private family matter that I won't share here. Suffice it to say that the positive ripples spread through the extended family "
That gave me a warmth.

2018 has been a pretty shitty year for me - but one thing kinda stands out!
Back in February a smooth talking guy with an American accent messaged to see if he could accompany me to an event at Cupids.
Many dinners, parties, clubs, socials and events later he’s one of my very best friends both on and off fab and I love him dearly!
Happy birthday to Chillout - ya loveable tart!! Mwah! |

Mine was the final months I spent with a relative who passed away 8 weeks ago today. My heart is broken in two still but I spent almost 51 years making the memories that are helping me get through the worst time of my life... |

So many highlights but the one that stands out is that it's been a pretty drama free life this year, just enjoying life and living it rather than just existing.

We names this year 2018 the year off filth,
We have been to socials , a good few club nights and had so many firsts together and got so many new friends,
The highlight off it all was due to who I had all these adventures with.
Thanks for a amazing year and can’t wait to see what 2019 brings.
Mrs sofa you are my gorgeous bestie |

England winning a world cup penalty shoot out is right up there! Watched in a bar with the family, and shared every emotion going with them, then massive elation and dancing and hugging while getting showered with beer!
A real "1st world" highlight compared to some, but it does make me realise how lucky we have been this year to have our health and fitness.
Fab wise, don't need to look past the Libs Xmas party |

Well, most of the repairs have been done, just some snagging to chase up, then we have to deal with the other half of the court case, not looking forwards to the solicitor fees |

I have many highlights...
watching my eldest childling graduate and start off into the real world..
Watching Guy Martin race at my workplace..
Being at the side of the stage for too many bands to mention- drinking buckie with enter shikari before they went on, chatting shit with pete doherty & getting hammered with beans on toast probably the most remembered ...
Taking Lollypop2000's youngest childling side stage at her first ever festival- the look on her face will beforever etched in my memory bank...
The eversocasual way my youngest came out as bi to me...
But most of all.. Spending time with my better half Lollypop2000 - every moment special...
To all a happy New Year! |

Running Brighton marathon with my girlfriend. She had said she'd never do another marathon after doing London in 2016 but changed her mind, we set put to enjoy it rather than chase a time and running the last half mile having already started drinking our celebratory ciders (much to the amusement of anyone that noticed) was pretty ace |

I've mentioned it a few times on these threads (and to anyone that will listen), but running and training for my first marathon was absolutely my year highlight, I learnt so much about myself through those months and found a strength and determination that I really wasn't sure that I had. Crossing that line and doing it all on my own proved so much.
Not just a year highlight but a lifetime goal achieved. |

Me and my husband were discussing this and I genuinely don’t have one. My year was so shit that I think the highlight was getting one of my dogs neutered in February. |
