Does any members on here actually embrace the true meaning of swinging? I've always believed that swinging is about been social, having a laugh and some banter with people who want the same. I enjoy going to people's houses or parties and having a nice drink with nice people and if the mood takes, have some fun. Do any members agree?

Brighton - even Hove!

Yeah. Sort of. I prefer ‘interesting’ to ‘nice’ as that word reminds me of tasteless icing on a bun.

Manchester (he/him)

I'm just here for the lively debate and pizza.

In all seriousness I think a lot of people share this belief and ethos, most to be honest.

But the "true meaning" is different to so many people. There are those who think only couples can be "true" swingers. Or those who think it's all about the club scene.

I think the fact there are so many people approaching things from different angles is what makes things interesting. Finding those that match you is exciting and sometimes meeting those who don't can open up a whole new world you didn't know you even wanted to be in.

Don’t really know the true meaning and not that bothered anyway. I’m just here for the laughs, made some really lovely friends, a few with some nice benefits. When I no longer think it’s fun I shall be off.

Some say it's this way, some say that.

I'll do it my way and discover for myself

In cave behind a waterfall on a hill

Perhaps each has their own meaning OP.

Without it being prescribed to them by others....

It would have made more sense if you said Tomato, tomato.
