Hold ups are better for me cos I have tree trunk thighs!! 
Can never get proper stockings to fit and stay in place properly but I have used hold ups like normal stockings . . . does that count?? 
Mind you I found nice hold ups that survive the washing machine at least 10 times lol until I put my finger thru them

i personally never wear em but i know some guys do ...like when robbing a bank or a jewellers...or to disguise there identity ,then they wear em on their head...wouldnt turn up to a meet wearing them tho, so not much point,mind you it is a fresh approach.

John Lewis do some lovely lace top stockings which wash well and last for ages at only a fiver a pop |

Hold ups are good for most occasions but on special occasions I do like to impress with something a little special so stockings and killer heels are fun. |

Unhook the straps from your basque, attach to the stockings put the stockings on and then hook the straps back on - thats easier than trying to do the back ones up when your wearing them lol x |

am so old tights werent invented lol always have worn stockings but not hold ups like my susupenders i do. very very hard to get normal stockings for work tho all we seem to be able to get are the ones in ann summers, which are all hold ups, very hard to get stockings to go with sussies |

Stockings for me!
Can't wear hold ups as I am quite short being only 5'2, and I have not found any that fit properly.
I hate wearing tights too, so proper stockings for me, or those stocking tights. |
