And the hot photo section, do you think there would be a mass exodus from the site from a certain section, cause they’re here purely for validation and an ego boost ?

It’s not the same exactly but when I used to go in the chat rooms the cams stopped working for some reason. The room did lose a lot of people but those of us left had a brilliant evening  |

Hmm that's quite an interesting suggestion actually.
Hot pics doesn't bother me, I like a wee look occasionally. I suppose there isn't really a need for a league table and it maybe changes the dynamic of the site a bit from a focus on meeting, to just enjoying some semi-interactive porn if you can message the people you wank over.
Think I'd probably just leave it as it is. Keep it for people who like it, and those who don't can just ignore it. |

Don't really look at the hot pics so adds nothing to my experience but each to their own. Think some would leave on both sides.. some enjoy doing pics, some enjoy looking at them. Has no impact on me so not bothered. |

Plus my photos are friends only so I care not one fig if they're fab'd or not so it wouldn't make a difference to me |

I don't think anyone is against people getting fabbed. It's nice to know someone likes your photo after all.
But do we need to know which photos other people like? Do we need to have a ranking system? Surely if someone likes a photo the only people it really affects and potentially benefits are the person seeing it and the person in it?
I'd definitely agree it brings out the worst in some people. From the perspective of those who 'need' to be on page one the extent to which they crave attention and the constant need for approval. I suspect there'd be less people 'anti' the most fabbed facility if people didn't kick up so much drama about it in forum posts and statuses.
Just my 2p of course.

Is it purely validation and ego boost? Some people are exhibitionists and enjoy being looked at like that. For some it's a way of marketing to get meets.
I'm not sure that being told that you're hot by several thousand people at a time would be turned down by many people... |

Of the people on here who are only chasing fabs and nothing more I think a large proportion are single women. The guys and couples chasing fabs are more often doing so to get meets, that's my hunch.
So if I'm right about that it would result in a bigger loss of single women on fab than men and couples. |

Nope. Never look. If I want visual stimulation there's a big old world of porn on t'internet. When we were meeting the only profile pics we'd be interested in were those we were potentially looking to meet. What use is seeing a hot photo of someone who isn't looking for you, has blocked you from contacting, has age filters you don't meet or is 500 miles away?
The only time I ever know who's on it is when I see a status update begging for fabs or when a forum thread sprouts up about it. Which happens a lot.......

Fans are a great way to show appreciation of someone whether it's because you think they look good or have taken a great photograph.
You also can do this regardless of preferences set by the user. If it wasn't there then I expect some people would get even more messages!
I think the hot pics tally is a bit daft.
OP, I see that you have fabs enabled for your pics so I'm guessing you get something from it? I have too. I don't get that many fabs but it's nice to know someone enjoyed the pics. |

I’m not sure there would be a mass exodus but it might detract for those that enjoy seeking that sorta validation. Personally, I don’t need or seek that so removed the Fab function from my pics.
I do wish we had an option NOT to see the Hottest/Most Fabbed group of pics that show up on my Feed as I don’t find it necessary for my Fab experience.
As others have said we all get our “Fab Fix” in different ways. Some it’s Forums, some it’s Chat/Cam Rooms, others it’s new pic uploads... and so on. Everyone’s pleasure here is different. I just wish I had more control on my Feed than I already have.
Oh & I wish Fab Admin would tackle some if their tech issues which DOES cause me to drift away to the competition for weeks/months on end so they lose out on my continuous Site Support.

This could be for someone I already know or a complete stranger.
Why get rid of a feature which is popular with a section of Fab users?
A lot of Fab members don't use the chat rooms or the forums as it serves no purpose to them. Should we get rid of those too? |

I know that picture fabs mean nothing. However if I've taken time to take some it's nice for people to appreciate them.
Does it feed my ego? Not really but it doesn't do any harm either.
I've never been on a quest to get to hot photos and don't particularly look at them. |

Wouldn’t bother us if it went, don’t look at them unless see a post that intrigues you to look. We only fab friends pics or if somebody contacts us and we like their pics. Don’t see why you would be on a swingers site just to get people to like/Fab your pics isn’t there other sites for fan followers if your not on here for the swinging scene? |

A man friend told me he likes sites like these because he can wank about the women actually fucking. Maybe they never meet and are just on here for Fabs but it still feeds his fantasy as it's a possibility.
The ones with pics on other sites are more likely to just be doing it for other reasons.
