Ok. Thinking back to when you was a kid and got into trouble. Please explain what you did and what your punishment was.
Now, what if your child did the same thing? How would you punish them? Would you punish them? More or less punishment? Would you feel like a hypocrite?
I don't have kids but if they did something that I did as a kid then I would feel hypocritical punishing them.... |

But parenting is about teaching people what is and isn't acceptable behaviour so surely that's your benchmarked - I nicked my mate's PS3 game when I was a kid so now I can't tell my kid off for nicking a PS5 game now. Doesn't work like that! |
