I have my first mammogram on Wednesday as I am prone to cysts and have breast cancer run in the family. So ladies please be aware and check your breasts please. |

Well my great grandma, grandma and auntie all had breast cancer and still said to me i didnt have to worry until i was 50 for my scan. I will actually be 52 when i have mine as they only come round every three years here. But ive always checked mine and due to recent events im much more aware |

I have now had two and the second one discovered 3 small lumps. Had an extra scan to confirm what they were and it turns out they were cysts. Was a bit scary when I got the call back but to be told that everything was OK was a great.  |

Having had breast cancer myself a few years ago, I'd say a moments discomfort is so worth putting up with rather than facing the alternative.
