Christmas morning...

Norwich

The sun is striking the frosted rooftops of houses across the road. It is super still. Not a breath of wind. Hardly a car on the road itself. I'm so glad it's not just grey and rainy. What does Christmas Day look like from your window?

Worthing

Bit of sun and fair weather cloud. Quite mild.

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes)

Just got back from dropping P into work and the roads down here are empty too but it's very foggy...can't even see the bottom of the garden.

Grey, but spookily still and quiet ... especially as I live on a main road

Even the dog picked up on it

Usually he's out like a shot, but this morning he held back at the gate and sniffed the air as if to say 'haaannng on a minute, there's summat not right here'

Haven’t got out of bed or looked outside yet!

Contemplating breakfast and how to have my eggs!

Also, Fizz or a cup of tea.

Think I will just lay here for a while longer while I make my mind up!

Normal kind of Sunday day, cloudy. I live on a main road so there's always something moving.

It’s still quite dark and damp here.

But the roads are very quiet. I got to church extra fast this morning

The suns_ine is melting thin frost now. My peeps are still asleep. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs await and plenty of Bucks Fizz, whereupon I shall feel completely demotivated and go right off the idea of roasting a duck.

In cave behind a waterfall on a hill

White diamonds shimmer on frosted grass, birds play on feeders, the sound of owls wafts across the hills. Naked trees their skeletons half hidden in swirling mists that climb up knsrled and twisted trunks. No sound, perfect stillness, apart from nature with its own gentle music....

Two dogs at my side, it's a morning crisp, sharp with chill, a morning of almost perfect peace.

That sounds perfect.

Grey and quiet here in Dyson.
