Sorry but not a thread on the relative greatness of LL Cool J vs Beastie Boys (think they’re hip hop artistes lol????)
I’ve got bad arthritis in both hips and I’m needing replacements – I’m fairly young for replacement surgery, being in my extremely late 30’s (oh alright, nearly 45 actually!) and I’ve never been in hospital before so absolutely bricking it….
I’ve done a bit of research and found out about some different types of replacements and how they’re implanted but I wondered if any of our fab forumites have had their hips replaced – if so, what did you go for (metal, ceramic, cemented or not) and any info regarding recovery times etc. I’m leaning towards a full ceramic replacement so would especially appreciate info from anyone with this type of joint.
I’ve got an appointment with the Consultant Surgeon at the end of January and have already got a list of questions as long as your todger to ask, but if anyone has anything that they thought of with hindsight, I’d appreciate if you’d share with me
Also, any Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons fancy bumping me up the waiting list in exchange for free sex……….all offers will be considered

My Dad had a new knee and hip. The hip i believe was metal. He was fully recovered in about 3 months.then his knee went. that was a bit trickier. good luck whatever you choose
