Are you eating? That may swing the decision.

If not I'd go for the sancerre and save the cab sauv for Xmas lunch.

Definitely the sancerre then.

Although a good German Riesling would be lovely with that.

Have a bottle of chateauneuf du pape reserved for Christmas dinner and a bottle of Liebfraumilch chilling in the fridge ready for when I get home from work at 6:30am tomorrow morning

Used to be for me too, I like it now tho. Was always sav blanc or pino for white and cab sav or merlot for red although south African pinotage is a very underrated contender. Yes I'm a wine...O
