I read lot's of profiles on here or post's on the forum and think to myself.
"What utter tosh"
Some people seem to be compulsive liars and appear to be happy to tell more untruths than truth's.
So are you a liar?
Personally I don't like to, honesty is the best policy in my humble opinion.
Obviously we have to" bend" the truth a little from time to time .
But for the most part I like to be honest.

There is a difference between the odd fib and a compulsive liar.
Compulsive liars find it natural and to cover their lies they have to keep on telling more lies...
I found one on here recently!

Agreed, everyone has at some point told white lies. I don't tolerate any form of dishonesty or deception either. The ones hiding in plain sight to blend in, but are actually different characters altogether |

Yep everything on my profile is the utter truth (Barring the bit about the guide dog, that's an embellishment and my date of birth is a couple of weeks away from the actual date)
Even guys who are the scourge of Fab can be truthful on their profiles.

The odd white lie, or more of an avoidance occasionaly, usually where my kids are concerned.
But big lies, no.
I have a photographic memory for facts, figures, photos, trivia, but don't ask me what I did yesterday. I've not got a bloody clue!
If I can't remember what I actually did do, I'm never going to remember a lie I made up! |

Actually it was a double whammy. Both unrelated, but caught on the same day #blocked
I don't do that lightly though. Only been on a few weeks and I am sure there are more around... last time I was on I did not block anyone for at least a year. I am a little rusty in figuring out the tricks of the new wave so may need help from the old school |

We all tell little white lies but on here what you see and hear from us is what you get. Our profile and even our ages are correct (I know imagine that what were we thinking). If we have a bad meet then a verification does not get lift we never leave one for the sake of it. |

I often wonder how people know. And what kind of questions/ lies would be deal breakers.
Obviously relationship status would be a biggie to many people, but a person's job/ where they live/ their favourite cheese wouldn't matter to me at all. |

On here, I tell the truth. Sometimes people haven’t been able to accept the truth but I’d rather be honest with people.

If I didn't want people to know something particular about me I would avoid the thread. If people ask a question I don't want to answer, I tell them I don't divulge stuff like that to strangers |

Do you think they'd appreciate the fact they were trying to have their feelings saved in the long run if they found out, or do you think it would hurt them more knowing they'd been lied to?
I'll lie to people I don't know on here. Told one chap yesterday I was gonna apply for Britain's got talent and fart the national anthem, when I'm clearly not.
I couldn't lie to my friends though. I think the worst lie I tell them is "I'm fine" when I'm not.
I'm too honest at times if there is such a thing and I'm aware of that. I just know the hurt lying can cause and I'd rather be disliked for being truthful, than hated and not trusted for lying.
