I ordered my meat for Xmas from a local butcher who’s main business is home delivery. He is due to be delivering it today and told me between 4-8pm. It’s not only my order but also I ordered for my mum and we’re traveling a 90 minute car ride to see her and take it to her tomorrow.
I’m getting very very twitchy now as he’s not here yet. I know how busy they are and don’t want to harass them but I’m very worried that I won’t get my order tonight. How long would you wait until you call/message them?

Nope not here yet.
I sent them a message. Unfortunately the lady who’s delivering for them has been in an accident. Fortunately she’s not hurt but the vehicle is wrecked and they’ve had to find another car and someone else to take over the deliveries tonight.
That’s all they need when it’s so busy! |

Plenty of careless impatient drivers on the road today. We've seen a few accidents while out and about earlier. Everyone's rushing and that includes some drivers who'll do anything to save a few minutes. Possibly your delivery driver fell foul of one of these.
Anyway, here's hoping you get your meat soon. If not tonight maybe they'll put on extra deliveries tomorrow. |

It’s here!
The poor lady who was doing deliveries is very lucky that she wasn’t hurt. A lorry ploughed into her T boning her car, looks like it’s a write off. She rang her sister who went with their dad to bring his van and got the orders so they could complete the deliveries. They have about another hour of deliveries to do.
As happy as I am to have my order, I’m more relieved that the delivery lady is ok |
