We were talking about that with our daughter a few days ago.

This original, along with The Witches and Return to Oz was pretty dark stuff for Kids entertainment back in the day, particularly the latter, but Watership Down wasn't an ordinary fluffy bunny story was it.

My big sister took me to see the original when I was around 5, when Bambi's mum died I screamed out 'Noooooooooo' and burst into tears which set everyone else off.

Thought about watching it for old times sakes...until I saw it was in two parts and decided to forget it. Think I'll save my time for watching Mary Poppins in the cinema instead...loved that as a kid
