I think learning the difference between them being 'fun' and them being 'life sapping' has been key for me.
Having the ability to laugh, make daft comments and banter with others is great.
Conversely offering words of advice, encouragement and support is nice.
I rarely get dragged into public showdowns. Even if someone makes a personal or snarky comment, I can let it go now. That wasn't always the case.
Logging on is a good feeling.
Sometimes, so is logging off. |

Yes the forums have been a god send to me This past 7 months
I had a big operation in June and post operation I was housebound due to setbacks and other stuff
I posted a weekly thread to vent myself and also speak out so I didn’t hold inside as I was fighting physical issues and very dark demons so the forum saved me as I worry if didn’t get speak to people what would happened as I have no friends except the few ppl speak to on here wish could chat to more but accidentally deleted msgs
If anyone wants chat more msg me or friend me

They haven't changed me but I wouldn't be here without them. I've been kicking around on here for around 10 years on and off but most of that has been forums. |
