It's because, in 21st century, there is still a misconception deeply embedded in the society that women are not supposed to enjoy sex, or have a sex drive. We get judged even by some of the guys on here, called all sorts of rude names. But nobody does that to males, as they are 'players' or 'studs'    |

Not sure how that is relevant to our reference to women still viewed as being 'not quite nice or respectable' if they seek sex, rather than how men are viewed generally in a positive 'stud like way' to be honest  |

Oh. I thought being offended at being approached that way implied that some women feel it's wrong to enjoy casual, one off sex. If they didn't they wouldn't be offended or have a "I'm not that kind of woman" attitude. |

Noooo. I take it a bit like when you were at school. All boys wanted sex, those who boasted off sexual encounters were patted on the backs and envied. But the girls who they had sex with, were not viewed as positively (by both sexes back in my youth).
So when someone says the same on here, I view it as being school ground stuff. Seeking women for sex on a sex site, but still judging women who seek multiple sexual encounters (sleeping with half the site)

Sadly there's a reason that no matter how enlightened society gets in other ways this vicious circle will continue, for this reason. When it comes to sex, the average woman is a lot more choosy than the average man, the reason being that she can be, because many more men want sex without a relationship than a woman?
So it's brilliant for the average woman in terms of the quality of men they can just sleep with and the regularity.
However because the average woman enjoys this luxury, as a knock on effect a man who is successful sexually is seen as physically verile, smart, charming, good looking and intelligent as most ladies whould specify this list of qualities in a whole package and can get it too?
By contrast any woman could be successful sexually, all she has to have going for is the ability to open her legs and say "Who wants?"
So as such a woman with a lot of partners ISN'T seen by a lot of society as the perfect specimen that their male equivalent is as it means she's lowered her standards from the 1% cream of men to the top 10% say?
And whilst women will continue to enjoy the luxury of choice and be extremely picky, this stigma will always remain, it's a self-fulfilling side effect of this anomaly.
Is it fair on a woman's reputation? No. But it's something that won't be disappearing anytime soon sadly. |
