Some showed the aussie humour of the time..

Favorite was the the shearers going in to town to load up the yuke with 4x..and as an after thought got 2 bottles of sherry and strap to the the top...

On way home driving over a rickity old bridge.. It gives way with the weight... One turns to the other and says (in broad aussie accent) "looks like we over did it with the sherry"

I don’t ever remember seeing these 3 advertised. But I sure as hell remember they all played a significant part of my teens. Thunderbird especially was popular among the underage drinkers in my town, lol.

But another drink we would get and I remember there being tv adverts for it was Castaway. Think it was from the same people that gave us Diamond White and Diamond Blush.
