... Oh, sometimes these tutorials are actually ads for products, too, so take with a pinch of salt. No product is the best ever for everyone always, and no, you don't need 40 products for a full face of makeup. Work out what's important, have a play, try a few times, etc. |

I’d happily help but I’m a bit far for a makeup lesson!!!
However keep in mind that products genetic women use aren’t always best for those T Girls looking to pass convincingly. Have a look at YouTube at some of the Drag tutorials - obviously some are very much stage makeup but someone like Courtney Act has a much more natural convincing approach to drag makeup. |

"Boots no.7 do free in store make up tutorials.
Their colour match service is awesome.
A lot of brands do lessons redeemable on product, too. "
Yes I love the colour match. And they are very helpful with suggesting lipstick colours etc. Also their stuff is often on offer 3 for 2. So I often use that to try something new so I get my normal products and then get something different as the free one. |

Definitely. Their foundation is the best match for my skin that I've found. Their lipsticks don't run as fun, but they've always made great suggestions.
I've heard Mac, if you run to it, really care about consumer education in a way that other brands may not, and they do some really classic shades of lipstick in particular. (although I have an awesome cheap dupe for Velvet Teddy) |

I love Mac and benifit. Most of my day to day makeup is number 7 but I've got some nice bits from Mac and benefit. Body shop do a really nice BB cream as well. I tend to stick to my old faithfuls and every so often have a bit of an update. |

Urban Decay, Illumasqua, Kat Von D, NYX are my favourites - primarily Urban Decay though. I only use cruelty free brands these days but it’s great it’s starting to filter down to more affordable options too.
NYX (in Boots) and Makeup Revolution (Superdrug) are both fab purse friendly options! |

You tube tutorials and the less is more rule,
So many tv's look like Ronald McDonald after using a shovel to apply make up.
Also Debenhams makeup people are trained to be tv ts helpful.
Been doing this for forty years and I still stab myself in the eye with my eye liner pencil.
Not sure what my point is but "hello everyone" xxx |

Yeah, pick one feature to enhance and tone down the rest. It's a common rookie error. |

My daughter does mine, she's 17 so in the know lol
She does it as a hobby and for her love of makeup. She also does all my friends for them for a small fee to cover the makeup she's used.
She watches alot of YouTube tutorials so they must be good. |

I always wear makeup when I'm going out dressed to a club or on a date.
To be honest I haven't a clue what I'm doing especially about colours etc I have watched some YouTube videos and they have been very useful.
My policy is that if it looks OK in the mirror then it probably is. I try to look as convincing as possible and haven't had any complaints yet. |
