Ashbourne(ish) and Chesterfield(ish)

There is a chip shop "Up North" that was featured on the radio the other day as they are doing deep fried battered brussel sprouts for Xmas. That is wrong on so many levels as far as I am concerned LOL.

sprouts have changed over the years, they taste mush sweeter than I remember them.

also spotted a programme recently where marzipan was being made for christmas cakes

As it was on there about the sprouts.

Im not a lover of them but will eat them.

A world all of his own

I've found the best way to serve them is straight into the dustbin, take the bag out, tie it tight and sling the fuckers out into the garden.

Vile, vile little balls of green hell

The area covered by Brussels sprout fields in the UK is the equivalent of 3,240 football pitches.

In a town Fab forgot

After Christmas dinner take a look out of your front windows.

Up and down the country you'll see people out for a "sprout walk".

Only have them at Christmas. Par boil then sprinkle with a bit of salt & pepper then cover in honey and roast.

Shred them and stir fry with garlic, smokey bacon and herbs.

Make a sprouts gratin.

A very underated vegetable.
