What's it like? Has anybody been?

We've seen a good online holiday package that's very tempting.

We went to Kusadasi last year and loved it.

We like "old town" type of places and are not looking for "Brit" types.

I've been to Side a coupla times but not recently (bout 8/9 years ago was last time), but I really loved it - also been to Kusudasi, Side wasn't quite as developed, but still plenty of l'aal bars and shops, my hotel was about 20 min walk along the beach to town centre - some happy memories of that beach at night mmmm.....if you find a gold t-bar bracelet, it's mine, lost it in a bit of a frenzied f*ck fest there

Side, looks all Turkish but 99% of it is tourist shops, bars and restaurants.

But the Harbour area, the old roman site, and Anthea temple thingy is worth a visit there.

And watch out for the 2 drinks for 2 euros, they are for small drinks and they will always bring you large

I would take euros, all use euros.

We went there about 4 years ago,nice little town and not too big

I will warn you though I have never seen so many people with so many mosquito bites! and I mean huge great whoppers!

So if they like the taste of you then make sure you have spray and creams and all the other stuff,they have a market there every week that sells this lemon spray that is supposed to prevent the bites,that night the whole hotel smelt lemony fresh as everyone had smothered themselves in it,don't know if it worked as I never get bitten anyway
