I remember the meteoric rise and rapid disappearance of the video shop?! Whatever happened to them?!
Can you think of anything else that wasvinvented or created that has since disappeared in your lifetime?!

British farm workers and land workers
As a kid i would spend lots of time with my mum working on local farms in the spring and summer. Fruit picking, hops, potatoes
But this part time vocation has gone. It’s all east European people now |

It SHOULD matter as it SHOULD be British people doing those jobs. Trouble is, none of them want to do the bloody work as it`s "hard" and "dirty" They`d sooner sit behind a desk all day playing on a computer then "working out" in the gym after "work" whereas if they did a good manual job, they`d be outside in the lovely weather and working out at the same time! |
