None of the ‘famous’ masters as such. I like landscapes and some of the works you can buy in the Lake District for example are incredibly realistic and stunning likenesses from relative unknowns. |

Zdzislaw Beksinski! Worth checking out if you enjoy surrealism. I only found out about him after picking a Polish film about his life from HMV (and only because I had a crush on the cashier there). |

Anish Kapoor, Antony Gormley or Ai Weiwei.
I love sculptural modern art, there's quite a lot of spectacular stuff.
I used to live in the NE, the Angel of the North is incredible. |
