We often see documentaries on sex and it's focussed around a particular area such as sex work.
To me, the world of sex isn't a set of separate groups who never integrate. It's more flexible.
People swing, people pay, people pick up in bars.
You've got straight, gay, bi.
You've got vanilla and fetish.
You've got a myriad of positions.
You've got 121 or group.
You've got tolerance and intolerance towards the other groups.
I wonder if a better representation within society would be of this flexible, evolving thing within us, or is it better to stick to the simple view often shown in the media.
Thoughts?

Any programmes they make usually have a specific subject. They may do a whole series and look at different aspects in each episode.
People will always fall into groups and think they are more classy than other groups. |

Everyone is different but there are large groups of people that are broadly similar in their sexual preferences. Sexual preferences can also change with time and fluctuating hormone levels. Whatever floats your boat at the end of the day. I think though for a long term monogamous relationship it's important to be totally honest about what really does it for you from the beginning and throughout. |

"Perfect opportunity to show off my flair for venn diagrams
I was thinking about the Venn diagram being the true picture rather than separate lines or circles.

Exactly my thoughts, the groups aren't exclusive , I reckon it might get complicated though ! |

Way tooo complicated for that. I'm thinking in terms of multi dimensional Venn diagrams, colour coded, labels with *s all over the place.
Google Hans Rosling / Gapminder for an idea of the type of data management we need |
