notts and humberside

I don’t know why it bothers me so much but stray apostrophe’s (see what I did there), been instead of being, should of ... winds me up. Even in short fab messages. Anyone else?

I never know where to put them

Am.

As in 'Am good ' etc......

When it's used instead of I'm or I am.

Am going on holiday next week.

"Not really. Unless they spell discreet "discrete". "

Either spelling is correct, as they mean different things according to the OED...

"Should of" really grinds my gears though, along with "been" (for "being") and the usual "your/you're" type thing. Oh, and "brought/bought".

Yes, it's a hard language, but some people make zero effort with even basic stuff.

I'm with you OP. To instead of too. There instead of their. Hear instead of here.

Spelling too. I just received a Flyer promoting the local shops which encourages people to "sumbit" an application for discounts on purchases. Did they not even think to use spellcheck before sending it out to all and sundry?! For goodness sake

Incorrect use of a capital letter? Tsk tsk!
