Hi all,
Just a question on verification, a few people we have spoken to claim to be verified but have no verifications summary or published verifications.
We didn't think it was possible to completely hide verifications. Can anyone confirm this?

If people remove all veri's and the summary then I fail to see how they are verified.
The green tick alone means nothing.....the veri could have said they were a complete wanker! It could also be just one veri from a friend doing them a favour to become verified.
From a thread posted yesterday, which was closed down by fab, it seems anyone can verify you whether you want them to or not. So just because they have a veri it does not mean the veri was complementary since you are not asked to approve the veri before it is posted to your profile.
If people don't want you to see any of their veri's and instead expect you to take their word for it that they are amazing I would treat them as someone who is not verified.
Not that I do veri's and do not care if people have them or not but if someone messaged me pointing out "I'm verified" when everything but the green tick is hidden I would consider that very arrogant.
Just my opinion..... |

That’s true, I guess people could always ask to see them. I’d show mine if someone asked. I guess if someone refuses to show them when asked they could have something to hide. Having said that I don’t take much notice of them anyway. I prefer to make my own mind up about a person and I never meet anyone without a social first so it works for me. |

I have the same opinion if someone really wants to see them and I am interested in them then fair enough but to some they are just bragging rights and that's not for me. Also I go with the making my own mind up for myself rather than words someone I don't know has said about someone. |

Published verifications dissapear if the user who gave them leaves fab.
Also some users like to remain hidden and don't want their veri showing on another profile, so might request the user not to display it |

Actually agree with this 100%. I'm sure people have their reasons for hiding their published verifications but I can't understand why his the verification summary too. Just our thoughts x |

Surely under them circumstances if the user wishes to remain hidden they just wouldn't leave a veri... |
