Whether it’s drinking turmeric tea, spraying lavender on your pillows, running and training, meditation, dog cuddles or something else - share one of your unique tips for maintaining wellbeing and keeping healthy, happy and zen!
If you could recommend something that was a surprise to you that it helped, that maybe someone else may not be aware of, so much the better!
One of my wellbeing tips (that works for me) is doodling a drawing every day in my sketchbook. |

Photography - it makes you slow down and admire the things around. At risk of sounding a tad cheesy....beauty is everywhere , appreciate it.
Talking of appreciation , isn't it about time we had a thread on that ? |

"I do yoga with a 10min meditation at the end but I would say just get out in nature and have a walk "
I agree with this one, yoga, meditation and a spot of nature walking is refreshing for you're wellbeing. |

Hugging, the really heartfelt ones, is under-rated.
A decent hug can cause the release of dopamine and seratonin, which reduce stress and depression.
Hugs also lowers cortisol, the stress hormone.
Hug, anyone?

I no longer sit in traffic on my way to work - I cycle.
This is my only social media type thingy so I don't compare my real life to someone's fake online content.
I don't have TV so I don't see advertising or news or any bullshit.
I give less fucks in general about what people think due to being older
( I'm working on wiser )

If you have a cold and feel under the weather try hot lemon with honey and something physical like masturbating
Vitamin c from the lemon will assist your body’s immune response, honey has antibacterial qualities and masturbating will cause endorphins and adrenaline to be released making you feel good and speeding up your body’s immune system
Trust me I’m a scientist lol |

"I started Couch25K I hate it. Really hate it. But feel so good after.
People keep telling me to take up running. I've made my peace with hating it! "
I do it in a group & they really spur me on. Then go the pub after |

Exercise - regardless of fitness levels just doing a bit more will raise your endorphin levels. Do that three times a week and it is comparable to taking anti depressants.
Go for a walk in the countryside - regular walks in the countryside have been shown to lower cortisol levels (stress hormone)
Learn to say no - we tend to over stretch ourselves helping other people to our own detriment. It is okay to say no to people, you can do it politely but saying no can be benifical to your own well-being. |

Exercise. Or as I've been unable to for the last week, I've taken to cross stitch again. Used to do it loads, but went on a back burner because was so busy.
Can't wait to get back to exercise though. |

Remove negative things from your life.
For example : Job getting making you stressed? Quit. Find another.
A person grinding you down? Eject them from your life. Permanently.
I know both aren’t necessarily easy depending on your circumstances - but if you really put your mind to it you CAN do it. I know this as I’ve done both in the past! |

Fair enough! I just hate cardio. I still do it mind, but I do it grudgingly. I look forward to hitting the weights room. |

Medical help is also important. Antidepressants if you need them, for one. Other health problems, including pain, can ruin your mood. Don't be afraid to see your doctor if you can't get your mood up. |

I love how he talks about egos and how we perceive things. I struggled with mental health as a teen and wish i had found his work then! It has really helped me accept who i am |

Absolutely. Perception and fear based on past experience are so powerful. Understanding that is so enlightening. It's been my favourite tool so far in my recovery. |

Changing my job and cycling to work was the best thing I ever did. Stopped listening to the radio on the morning commute and haven’t really cared or had much of an opinion about current affairs since. I feel much more relaxed. |

Much of what has been mentioned above; writing helps, journalling, sometimes unplugging is a good thing too.
Exercise is my main help though, running has saved my life and I'm not speaking figuratively |
