When You're In A Shop...

In your work clothes and someone thinks your staff...

You're in a shop/supermarket and you're work uniform is simular to the shop staffs uniform. Another customer comes up too you and asks you a question. Like, where is so and so etc...

What do you do?

Play along and pretend you're staff or say you don't work there?

It's happened to me a few times. If I can't be bothered I'll just say I don't work there. Sometimes I'll answer their question, honestly of course..... I wouldn't send them on a wild goose chase.

I was in KaDeWe in Berlin when a guy asked me (in English) if he could try a jacket on

I let him

I'm good like that

I even stayed and told him it was nice and that it suited him

I’ve had it happen a few times! Even in normal clothes! I tend to say ‘ah I don’t actually work here but I’ll try and help you if I can!’

I remember one person once got quite agitated that I didn’t work there, even said ‘yes you do!’ that was quite funny!

Be a bit concerned as my work clothes are molten metal proof!

NW London

I got mistaken for staff in the local supermarket yesterday.

A lady came up and asked if I had frozen dumplings.

It's just the way I walk I replied.

Couldn't resist it.
