Depends on what you mean by resort?
IF you are going to have 300 swingers in one place for a week at a time with lots to do bars resturants shops clubs play spaces etc. great....
if you are going to have appartments for 20 people then nope, would rather book a villa with some known people from Fab or somewhere, than turn up and find 16 single guys waiting for me as the only fem on the premises! |

no it would be a private villa with bungalows around the grounds with pool, jacuzzi, on site bar the bookings could be done as group bookings with deals to fab members or the numbers of females to males would be monitored |

It is a numbers game, like a club night sometimes there are loads of people you want to play with, others only a few or none.... not a problem on an evening out but a BIG problem on a weeks holiday. Even worse is you will need to get along socially as well! |

its a good idea monitoring male female ratios.
but what would you do if you had only one or two couples booked and loads of empty rooms with loads of enquiries from single men??
would you lose the money by leaving the rooms empty?? |

no we wouldnt lose money as we have other avenues of income from normal holiday lettings out of resort, its just an idea at the moment, just looking for feedback to see if there would be a market as being a swinger myself ive seen it in other parts of europe and uk but havent seen it in southern spain |

there is a great resort in lanzarote called spice was there a cpl of times when i lived there its a newish resort and its a great place but strict on who they allow to book and the people are well checked out to stop pervs and the likes.Talking to the cpl who run this resort they told me that it was tough going at the start and trying not offend other local tenents was the hardest part of setting up and now they have people who have came back lots of times so they have customers to fill there books .i myself went there with a lady friend would was visiting me we booked for a weekend its bit expensive but it was worth the money to show a lady a good time...I do hope you get your wish and have great success |

This is an avenue we are seriously considering ourselves. We already have a four bed villa in 2 acres of grounds. Once we are sorted out over here, we are looking to give up work and run it as a B&B, specialising in swingers/naturist holidays.
But to be perfectly honest to make things work you would have to tap the entire b&b market not just our small group. So juggling days/weeks with swingers/naturists and vanilla people could become a bit of a nightmare. |

"looking at opening up a swinging resort with a friend in spain what are peoples opinions on this idea??
thanks for any feedback
matt"
The seasonal variation in weather will have a serious impact on your income. Think about somewhere with a year round temperate climate if you want to make it a success.
There is a very good resort operating in the way you are suggesting called La Macarena. We have been and it is very, very good as they are also talented cook's as well. Problem is that they have two marginal months (May & June), two mad months in the height of summer and then two more quiet months in September and October. They are closed November through April.
Don't listen to the views just from here. You will have to make a Europe wide effort to be successful and attract French, German and other north Europeans. |

wouldn't have a clue but if i was toying with doing the same i would get round to stay at as many similar resorts as possible to what i was thinking of opening to see what works and what doesn't as i think anyone thinking of setting up a new business should do as much research as possible
wish you all the luck in the world hope its a roaring sucess |
