Do you have a favourite and what's the one that drives you up the bloody wall?!

A few faves : Driving Home for Christmas - Chris Rea, Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakey, Silent Night always makes me well up and feel sad, but I love it! And the old traditionals - I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, Let it Snow, Let it snow, Let it snow etc...

I’m actually not a huge fan of Slade, it’s probably the most played but least liked (by me at least!) of all the regular Xmas songs!

What are yours Mrs C?

I feel for all those poor souls who work in retail that have had to listen to Christmas songs on repeat all day every day since November...

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Slightly off the beaten track, the version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Bjorn Again is a fantastic arrangement, that I always enjoy hearing.

Not a fan of Cliff though.

It was a number one in December 1983 but not the Christmas number one. It had a Three Kings/nativity theme to the video which explains why it’s seen as a Christmas song.

See also Stay Another Day by East 17.

A couple of obscure ones from childhood. Frog chorus, the power of love by Frankie and caravan of love by housemartins.

Worthing

Fav - Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade and the carol Hark the Herald Angels sing. Worst - The number one that beat The Darkness Don't Let the Bells End. It was a cover song and very dreary.
