I have just be reading my clubs social media post on rainbow laces campaign and I am in shock on how abusive and homophobic or transphobic the comments were
I have gay mates that go to football both women and male. I am a straight guy who is sexually comfy with what I am. What shocks me is that even in this day and age how abusive people can be
It doesn’t supprise me that footballers have not come out if they recieve this amount of abuse. I am actually physically disgusted

I think the anonymity of the internet often brings out the worst in people.
I live in a busy city and I'm out and about all hours of the day and night, but very rarely feel troubled by anybody. But then, it only takes a few extreme w*nkers to make bigots feel legitimised and I'll probably find myself strung up from the nearest lamppost.
