Seaside Sussex

One of the best gigs ever for me was The Buzzcocks at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford. They properly rocked the place and anyone there who didn't know would struggle to believe that they'd been around for 40 years.

Far too young sadly.

To quote Tim Burgess:

He wrote "perfect three-minute pop songs" that were "the soundtrack to being a teenager" (at least for those of us who were teenagers in the '70s and probably beyond).

I can't see much of a future

Unless we find out what's to blame

What a shame

And we won't be together much longer

Unless we realize that we are the same

Ever fallen in love with someone Ever fallen in love, in love with someone Ever fallen in love, in love with someone You shouldn't have fallen in love with

RIP

"My favourite band "

Cool. Goes to show the appeal extended well beyond us '70s teenagers!

A writer of perfect pop songs without the schmaltz....punk mind without the posing and cliches. Glad I saw them one last time last year. RIP Pete.
