The books were brilliant the Swedish films were very good and the new “Hollywood” version was OK. Thought it jumped about a bit but it was worth a watch.

Watched it yesterday with Mark and he has now decided that he needs to make a replica of the CB350 that was in the film.. it was a really good film but i think its just cost all of his spare time for the next year! lol

You should watch the original if you going to watch at all...

That way if you like you can watch the other 2...

have read the books and seen the new film but not the swedish ones. this one is good but you need to be alert to follow it if you haven't read the books. and for the sqeamish theres a very violent rape scene.

Loved the books and the Swedish films, hope this version is as good. The director says it contains all of book one and part of book two, and he doesn't plan to make a follow up so we wonder how it ends? We'll see it soon anyway.

Film 1 could stand on its own but 2 & 3 go together!!!

Have to watch the remake now to see wtf they have done lol

You can switch the DVDs to English and you get used to it quite quickly

You can peel me off the ceiling with scary films, but the original films were great not that bad (just hid behind the cushion a few times lol) - Watch them they are well worth it..............

The best version of the originals is the Swedish TV version. 6 x 90min episodes that covers all 3 books.

It is a rape scene but it is relevant to the films....

Happens in first book/film but its not till the 3rd that it becomes relevant...

Yeah and I was gutted when Wogan called it a day full time on radio 2 as he used to do some wicked audio versions of Janet and John

i have seen the origionals and i thought the first one was really good, the second was good but i thought the ending of the third was a bit of a let down, after all he did for her she could of been a little more greatful...........Noomi Rapace who plays Lisbeth Salander was amazing though,

If she had been it would have fallen out of character of "Lisbeth"....That would have ruined it...
