"We have a very nice iMac. Good Quality etc.
But can’t get on with it. Find it not very intuitive.
Thinking of going back to a PC
Thoughts? X"
Since you had (what I will assume to be) a Windows driven PC previously, MacOS is gonna feel wrong to you. It's what you are used to really. Mac users will be along to tell you it's the shiny solid gold dogs doodas though. |

Apple everything here. Love it, but we’re so tied into it all that we couldn’t change even if we wanted to, laptops, tablets, desktop and our phones are all synced, Apple TV is plugged in, lights in the house, heating, even the door lock is all through apps and our phones.
This is how terminator started isnt it? |

I use everything, perk of the job, but if your happier using Windows, get a pc or boot camp the mac to Windows. At the end of the day a mac is only exactly the same as a pc inside anyhow.
Personally my laptops run Windows primarily and I can dual boot into Linux Mint, or vm into macos catalina. Works for me but hey, just use whatever works for you. Simple.
Don't get intk flame wars with people that love one thing or another, no matter what anyone says, all modern desktops run x64 cpus nowadays, so they are all the same thing, some jsut look different to others. |

I guess the argument comes down to preference and purpose. iMACs are great for media related things if you are doing editing and such as but functionality has a learning curve if you are coming from PC. I say evaluate what you are using it for and if it doesn’t outweigh the cost or you don’t have all other Apple products then look to move back. |

I love how my iPhones, iPads, MacBook and mini Mac all connect to each other, I was resistant of buying Apple but once I did then I swiftly found I could never go back to a pc or in the case of phones, an android |

Hannah loves everything Apple.
I (Luke) hate everything Apple.
We can't work each other's stuff. It confuses the hellout of us. Different people like different things.
If you change to a different system you'll have a learning curve. If you are prepared to put in a bit of time learning it then you can find out from personal experience which one you prefer.
One of the reasons I hate Apple (apart from how expensive everything is) is the cult of personality that came with it for many years. People talked about Steve Jobs like he was their personal saviour. People still look at Apple with glowing, quasi-religious fervour. I won't have anything to do with it.
When Bill Gates dies I'll think of him as a clever man who enabled me to do some stuff. I won't be crying and I won't be going out to see a movie about his life. |

Gates and Jobs do have a shared history, as does Microsoft and Apple. Excel was born on the Mac. |

PC as mac is to basic for me, and lacks much of what windows does, plus not worth the amount they want for apple products.
its ok for basic stuff word processing, web browsing etc, but thats about it, normal basic day use |

You can run Windows on a Mac using boot camp or fusion."
It's called parallel now look for it in the app store or down load a cracked version ! |

If you choose to go back to Windows, just sell your Mac. Resale values can be quite strong. The money you’ll get for it will allow you to buy 500 Windoze machines! Keeping a nice iMac just to run Windows is a waste of cash imho. |

I've managed to get hold of Pear OS 6, this free linux distrobution will run on a lot of pcs and some macs.
It was discontinued, but is a brilliant way of deciding whether or not you want to go down the Ubuntu/Linux path or go full on apple.
The fact that it IS an Mac OS X look-a-like, should give you a good idea what
other operating systems look and feel like. |
