I'm in a quizzical mood today and I was contemplating the change in topic postings in my time on fab, from the inane to the outrageous and inflammatory.

I know the kind of topics that make me want to post and engage, but I was wondering what threads make you dear forum folk want to post? What gets your (ahem) juices flowing?

Funny topics are my favourite, also the ridiculous ones. My recent favourite was the lost teeth thread in the Wales forum.

I’ll post mostly on the inane or lighthearted ones, I see Fab mainly as a place for escapism and fun.

There are plenty of other forums and websites out there for heated political or ethical debates so tend to avoid those types of thread on what is essentially a casual sex site.

I tend to get in most trouble when asking various thread openers exactly what I’m also going to ask you (as I always try to give my answer when posing a forum question where I can) : what is your answer to the question you’re posing OP?

It entirely depends on my mood to be honest. I'd rather a thread draw more thoughtful posts than just the run of the mill frippery and virtue signalling that often pervades. I do enjoy threads that show a sense of humour too.

Having said that, sometimes I enjoy a bit of frippery and bubblegum.

Nah, you tend to get most in trouble when you decide to be a shit stirrer.

As far as the Op goes, I tend to post/look at threads by friends and those I like first. And then whatever takes my fancy that day really. Not really one for the poster above stuff - I do really enjoy Arts threads. Or just ones asking personal opinions like this one.

The kind of threads that really encourage the wit, creative minds and literary talents of forumites. There have been many over the years that have left me in stitches because of the the clever humour of forumites bouncing off each other.

Not as common n these days

I like the lighthearted ones, but also the ones that make me think my answer carefully. The train wreck ones can be fun but I avoid them. Some that ask for a debate can be good but then the holier than thou brigade join in and judge everyone who’s not on their level. X

Central

It depends on my mood but generally what sparks my interest will be unusual, desperate, amusing or a complex mix of these aspects, possibly coupled with stupidity. Inane attempts at inflammatory material, without any topical requirement, possibly for poster gratification, wears thin.

My moods and interests vary, perhaps a little like, or with, the weather though.

There and to the left a bit

I'll post on a fairly broad variety of threads but the ones I enjoy most are the ones where intelligent discussion and incite take place no matter the topic, especially when they pretty much remain on track throughout - know they're few and far between round here but when one does capture my imagination they can be both interesting and inciteful and actually spark side discussions on passion.
