Best ‘sociable’ dating sites!
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hello you lovely lot!
So - after lots of amazing sex and giggles with some truly lovely people - I’ve decided I’m ready to find someone a wee bit more special!
I’d hoped to develop a relationship with a fellow swinger (for obvious reasons) but that hasn’t happened - so I’m trying the wonderful world of online dating sites!
Tried a couple of the swipey ones but I’m not overly impressed!
Does anyone know of any that have nights out/socials/dating events etc so you can meet people more naturally?
Thanks |

"Keeping an interested eye on this thread x"
I’ve been googling speed dating events! I may try one of those!
I think I’d prefer to meet people rather than chat to pictures which could well be fake or misleading! Xx |

Try 'meet up'. I belong to a local socialising group, meals, theatre etc,no joining fee, but we pay out organiser £1 for his time. Never know who's going to turn up, 10 of us at Valentine's dinner this year, bit nervous, but really good fun. |

Hiya Peachy
I think most dating sites have organised social events from what I can remember. (POF and match) even though I've not tried it myself.
Also speed dating or maybe take up a hobby like learning to dance.
Face to face social events etc has to be the way forward in 2019.
Wishing you all the best. I think alot of people are hanging on by a piece of sting right now.

Quite surprised that some of your meets don't want something a little more serious or regular date type relationship. You are lovely. |

Have you been learning to dance Spidey? I’d love to hear more about that if you don’t mind!! Love a bit of ‘proper’ dancing.

2019 I going to learn a Martial Art (kick boxing) and I was thinking about Pole Dancing (due to core strength) which is my weakness. |

Don’t think Pole Dancing is quite what I had in mind when I said “proper” dancing. LOL. If you want good core, try Latin? Works for me!! |

They now have pole dancing as a dance not just that erotic stuff. Have you ever tried it...I was black and blue and couldn't move for a week and that was just trying to stay upright. |

I've found this too, or they are looking for hook ups, worse still some are married or partnered. I get the whole nudge nudge wink wink thing about fab from the ones that are here too, I just tell them so what, at least I have pics and I'm not hiding lol. |

I read about an app called Tangle which lets you find people with similar interests but forbids you to communicate virtually - you have to meet in person which sounds an excellent idea, but not sure how widespread it is. Anyone tried it? |

I met my woman on FAB. But before hand I was dating with the intent of dating someone who was just as perverse as me, didn't judge me and wanted to share my deviance and kinks. I found OK Cupid to me a good site for this. It's uses questionnaires to help match you in all areas including sex and monogomy. So you can find people who are like minded sexually as well as in other areas. The down side to OKC is not huge numbers on there. But I did find there where a better selection of people on there open to alternative lifestyles and kink. So you may want to give it a bash. |

Just a thought... But why not host a Fab Dating Social? Let all those folk who actually really do want a relationship with a fellow kinkster get together and see if any little sparks get lit You and Spiderwoman could organise it between you... At least you'd know everyone attending was open to a relationship! |

You'd end up wanting to date the person at the other end of the country. |

Sounds like a great idea lovely - but - as hatter said below you - it’s a problem of geography!
For instance - the guy I love the bones of (in a fond way - nothing more!) - lives in Guernsey - and is at the start of his fab journey!
To me the issues with finding something meaningful on here are distance - and whether or not they’re well and truly out of the ‘shiny new fuck’ stage - which only happens with time I think!
I think it definitely has legs - but to be viable I think you’d need a few - in different areas of the country so people can find those they’d actually be able to see regularly! |

People do you know I know couples who dated from different countries even... My sister is now married and living in the US with the love of her life, and an old friend of mine has recently moved back to Ireland with her young family after moving to London a few years back to be with an English chap she had met at a NYE party... Distance doesn't have to be an obstacle when you're both looking for happiness |

I agree, I know couples that haven't let distance get in the way. However, I've also been on the end of a failed long distance relationship.
It can work, but it needs two people to stand up and actually do it. Which is harder then it seems I think. |

Relationships don't have to be long distance to fail... It can happen when you live under the same roof. As you said, it takes both parties to really want it to work... But surely if everyone attending is genuinely open about wanting something more than a regular meet or an fwb, that they want something to build on, that's the first stumbling block already removed? |

It's a good idea, however, I think it would rapidly be flooded with single guys looking for hookups and very few single ladies, if any. |

You'd have to have a fair size pair of brass balls on you to walk into a room of 60-70 people who will see your face and know who you are and then act the cad... Its easy for the chancers to make fools of people and tell them what they want to hear while just mailing or meeting 1-1... But when you've openly declared yourself available to scores of people by attending a dating event, you'd better be for real |

I don't know about the very few single ladies but... I see dozens of them posting here most days saying they'd love to meet 'the one' through swinging, and those are just the Forumites, so just the tip of the Fab iceberg.

I'm on normal dating sites, I've made no secret on here I'd like to find a special lady.. those that say all the guys on here are on them, it's rare i notice any ladies from here on them.. however for you to notice them so are you
I looked at speed dating in Leeds seems folk of a certain age aren't catered for. It's a while since I looked from memory it was forty or below.
Hope you find what you seek op. |

The vast majority of websites faciltating meeting are for sex, and there really isn't much difference between them, regardless of how they are dressed up.
You are more likely to find a regular friend through a site that caters for an interest or hobby, that gets you meeting face to face over a common interest, other than sex.
Failing that, the old traditional pubs and clubs route, like normal people... |

"Try 'meet up'. I belong to a local socialising group, meals, theatre etc,no joining fee, but we pay out organiser £1 for his time. Never know who's going to turn up, 10 of us at Valentine's dinner this year, bit nervous, but really good fun."
Great advice!
I can confirm "Meetup" is one of the best ways to connect with people. Many different things to suit all interests. I have not been on there for years, but used to organise and host events. |

It’s a great way to meet people and make new friends over shared interests. "
Can absolutely confirm this, made a lot of local friends through Meetup when I moved up here a few years ago |

Those messages used to annoy me. I got all excited thinking someone wanted to talk to me but no, it was information about a social. |

"Bumble was good but it went a bit crap.. I think they imported all the badoo crazies recently."
It's better for women seeing as we are in the driving seat, so to speak |

"The vast majority of websites faciltating meeting are for sex, and there really isn't much difference between them, regardless of how they are dressed up.
You are more likely to find a regular friend through a site that caters for an interest or hobby, that gets you meeting face to face over a common interest, other than sex.
Failing that, the old traditional pubs and clubs route, like normal people..."
That’s why someone suggested ‘meet up’ Lots of different types of groups ranging from dinner groups to running ones. There are singles groups on there should you want to meet someone romantically but I’m mainly on indie music, live music, dining and meditation groups. |

"Just a thought...
People do you know I know couples who dated from different countries even... My sister is now married and living in the US with the love of her life, and an old friend of mine has recently moved back to Ireland with her young family after moving to London a few years back to be with an English chap she had met at a NYE party... Distance doesn't have to be an obstacle when you're both looking for happiness "
This is exactly how i look at it..
Distance is part of the adventure not part of the problem |

Women usually hold the power no matter what. Sad but true. |

Another vote for OkCupid. I met several people on there including my now girlfriend. It's great if you're open-minded about relationships as well. So if you're possibly looking for an open relationship or you join an already established relationship. The most flexible dating site I've used thus far. |

Match definitely do organised socials as Richard from my office is on it and was showing the social events lined up over the next month.
He was telling me about how he’s nearly kissed a girl after 2 socials...
....he’s a dirty b**tard too but I don’t want to tell him about FAB!
Just told him he’s a magnet, cos he’s speaking to 3 girls
