Other than being an average inconsistent service is it currently down. I cannot connect.

Mines OK. Try turning the router off for a few minutes then restart

What is down, is the sinc lght flashing? or probs with the wifi side if the router?

Had Sky for over a year and only can remember having to reboot the router twice.

Close the pc/laptop go to the router and there is a small button at the back - press to switch off leave a couple of secs and then press again.

You will see the lights start to flash and from memory i think you have to wait for the last one to change colour and its back online.

Ok thanks all. We of course restarted the router and went through the normal process but to our dismay have found out that they have cancelled our broadband/phone line.

Last month we had an issue with them and asked to go through to cancellations citing our reasons. Less than 5 minutes of the cancellation they rang back and offered an incentive for us to stay with them. The plankton that did the turnaround failed to reverse the cancellation and of course we are now without a landline and broadband, currently going the process of resolving it been on the blower for 1 hr 10 mins but it has cost us our landline number which apparently cannot be given back to us.

Sky like any other company make boo boos and the people we are dealing with whilst i,m on hold have been and are continuing to be very supportive & helpful.

Just a shame that one persons mistake or incompetence has caused this so much bloody grief

Ne' mind, worse things happen at sea.

Again thanks for your help forumites, Mrs FJ is extremely upset as she is waiting on a job off, second interviews for other positions she's applied for and of course the mither we will have to go through informing people of the new number change.

I've laid the gauntlet and insisted on 12 months free phone line/broadband and our full hd package.

Down to them now.

Failing that cable here we come.

What annoys me looking at the bigger picture is every industry and company seem to be making that many cutbacks and adjustments to manning levels and in turn service goes downhill which is counter productive and will lose custon.

Just for the fat cats to get fatter in this crazy capitalist world aaaaagh hahaha.

Fuck it. Wish me luck.
