Well, only that I live there..

SE London is cheaper than other parts, but not exactly cheap these days. Least of all Hither Green.

Ignore posters who denigrate it, least of all those who are as old as my mother and whose petulant responses on these forums reveals how they wish I’d deign to bang them, no chance .

Works for me .

I haven't been in a Lidl or an Aldi in the UK but when I lived in Berlin I used to shop there all the time.

You get what you pay for

But the booze was decent.

I find a lot of stuff in lidl of Aldi much better quality. People moan about the fruit and veg not lasting but that's because we've been brainwashed by the ripen at home shit from Tesco and Morrisons

Aldi & Lidl sell good products and they sell bad ones. That’s the same as every supermarket from Waitrose to your local convenience store. It’s subjective though but in the main they are cheaper.

Aldi’s wine selection is good though!

Lidl still have great mini Bratwurst too. I pop in for the Gin liqueur if I'm passing and get the bratwurst, the salted almonds in a tin, and if its a sunday 'morning after' I might treat myself to a warm pain au chocolat on the way home, they are the business!!

Yes exactly - letting things rot on shelves is manky!

It doesn't give me hope for what else they let rot

Like someone said above- you get good and bad things in all supermarkets.

I would shop in an Aldi or Lidl if they were local to me.

I just shop where it's convenient as I don't have a car.

It's really not good in my local Lidl. The meat is much the same but the fresh produce can be lacking at times, and they have no wholewheat bread at all.

Their saving grace is their maple and pecan plait.

If you don’t like it OP, go elsewhere. You’ve been on 8 weeks and this post will no doubt get you blocked by many.

Supermarkets don’t judge, they want your custom. If you want to meet any of the lovely ladies or couples on here I think you’d better get off your high horse and start treating people with respect.

I’ve uploaded a pic of me at the controls to my profile, you lucky people .

The front of a train is very similiar to a cockpit, where did you get the headphones from Argos ?

No I think you'll find those are the ones that come with Sony Playstation 4

Well, I couldn’t let that go, so I’ve uoloaded one of me standing by the aircraft...

Blue headset was on loan because my David Clark set was on the blink.

Anyone else on fab into flying? What a wonderful hobby it is . "

Oh wicked , I must remember to check that out as soon as I finish

You’d think you’d want decent shades. All the pilots I knew were Oakley as far as a can remember.

Good for him.

That means he probably has plenty of time and money to do it, too.

Yes there are, but no, he flies off a piece of land near us, so can go whenever the weather is good. Used to design and build his own, many years ago, but now just flies ARTF, he crashes a lot too...which is why I'm glad he's not a real life pilot!

It’s not without risk but safe enough if done properly. I’ve only been properly scared in an aeroplane once (I wasn’t flying, we were three-up departing from a short strip in North Norfolk and nearly ran out of runway ). We lived to tell the tale, and learned from it.

Tell him to get himself down to North Weald and book a trial lesson.

My brother lives not far from North Weald and keeps threatening to sign up for flying lessons.

I'm expecting to visit one day and see a small plane parked in his garden. (I don't know what the correct terminology is for planes that are stationary, on the ground.)

Cheers ears.

Walking the tight rope between being a little bit wankerish, yet not coming across as an actual wanker, is quite a skill.

It’s taken a bit of fine tuning but, judging from some of the messages I’ve received today, I’m getting there .

That’s a good airfield to fly into - the landing fee includes entry to the museum.
