Ok I have excepted the fact that I'm a football widower and that she loves the game

(I'm at the moment sitting quietly whilst she watches the game on tv as she couldn't get tickets)

Are there other blokes in the same position as me?

I hate the fookin game personally xx

I would rather watch paint dry myself.

Good job I live on my own, and can do and watch whatever I please.

it's good to have different interests. There are loads of things that Kate likes that I don't, and vice versa.

Just learn to love the differences, and the fact that you are different entities

being brought up in an all female household (bar me) i was never allowed to any watch sport on tv let alone football.

being of somewhat robust build, i was always pushed towards rugby as opposed to football at school, so football is something i have never really followed

i know who the 'top flight' are in english football, but as for who plays for who, the offside rule, who's in the running for what trophy etc. i am largely clueless

I must be a lucky guy.

The wife loves football and we both have season books.

So we both watch most of the live games.

Now rugby......egg chasers!!

I went to a boxing day match, we won 3-0, its a tradition thing, the one time of year where I get to sing dirty songs and yell abuse at random people......

....apart from when I am sleeping on a park bench with my brown paper bag of meths and doing the same.....

Im not very happy!

Im a Wolves fan.....thought we were gonna hold on for a 1-1 draw then Lampard of all people had to go and score in the 89th min. He shouldnt have been on the pitch because of a tackle he made earlier on. Grrrrr silly ref!

Aye,same here.

I'm just not into football and never have been, prefer to watch motocross,x games and such, and a bit of female gymnastics now and again lol.

I can see where you're coming from as my last ex gf was a mad hibee(waits on the backlash!),had her season ticket and watched all the games.

Anyway,I just don't see what the big deal is about a bunch of dudes in shorts running after a ball, bunch of overpaid primadonnas if you ask me!

As i get older i'm getting more cynical. I used to love watching it on TV now I seem to get bored easily and fed up of all the players' silly antics on the pitch and the managers blaming the refs and seemingly blind to all the fake diving and berating the refs. grrrrr
