Would it be a good idea if there was a swingers badge or tie/lapel pin that you could wear to let others know on a night out - something subtle?

I totally agree with you, it would cause too many problems as people would judge and make the wrong assumptions

As 'some' men are not good at sublety, they would assume I was 'up for it and fair game', I feel.

Then I would organise a meet from here, or go to a club. Not for anyone anywhere to know I swing. I am on here for discretion, I choose who to approach, chat, then if I choose, reveal my face

What the hell is the point in a badge! If you want people to know you tell them end off! Next we will be having people suggesting having swinger tattooed across peoples foreheads.
