My grandad used to tell us our heritage. Our clan started in the borders and at one point fought on the side of the English to stop catholicism in Scotland. |

Family moved to Scotland from Wales. Oh but parents came here in the 60s from the Indian subcontinent. Weird that. Following your colonial masters back to their country after only being free of them for a couple of decades.
But hey, its alright being enslaved to the system here for the sake of some law and order I guess |

A family member , actually 3 of them over the years, traced the heritage back to the early 1200’s. I’m sort of lucky that a very very very distant relation had land and married well. Then there’s the Germanic/ prussien side. That only goes back to the 1700’s.
