I want to get a nice advent calendar for my (27 year old) sister but all the ones I have found out there are too niche in that they only have one category of item in them (beauty, skincare, candles, make up etc)

Is there such a thing as an advent calendar that has these items, but also jewellery, homewares, maybe food or cooking items? I just want something that's a real variety.

Failing that, should I just make her one? Any tips greatly appreciated

Buy a wooden calendar and put personalsed items, notes and suchlike. It will mean so much more.

I saw some in Hobbycraft but the windows looked quite small. That's the problem with most of them- size of compartments.

sw London

There are loads of different types available, I get sent them each year by clients, so far I've had a beer one and a wine one, each has 24 bottles in, although the wine one is only 1/2 bottles

I got my wee one a silver bracelet and 25 charms so she can add a new one each day. Her's are kiddies ones but you get smarter adult ones if she'd be into that kind of thing?
