As a young, handsome gentleman (according to my mother)  I am finding it surprisingly difficult to get a decent convo, let alone a meet out of you beauties. So either my mother tells fibs or it's something I said.
Women especially, what makes a GOOD first message, what do you like to hear? Should they be short and sweet or a short essay? Straight to the point or get to know? Opinions please |

I don't know what makes something good, but I just say hello and make a point of showing that the message is for that individual, and not some carpet bombing. Never had a problem striking up a rapport here. |

I'd say don't be pushy. It's more straightforward for me in that regard as I'm rarely back in the UK, so I'm making friendships and not thinking about trying to sleep with somebody yesterday already. On the occasions I contact somebody it's because I find them likable first and foremost. |

Yeah it's not so much the content of the message but the person who sends it which decides if I reply. I'd look at a profile and see how they come across and if there's an attraction before I even open the message. |
