Some do some don’t. It’s Still not smoking in my opinion. Irrelevant to me anyway as I’ve got smoker on mine as I occasionally smoke. If I only used a vape I’d change it. |

What comes out of an e cig is exactly the same as what comes out of the kettle when it is boiling it is purely vapour
Regardless of if the liquid has nicotine in it or not its not smoking |

People always seem to obsess on the nicotine aspect, but it's not cancer-causing or excessively harmful. Nicotine can be found naturally in red peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, and potatoes so if you've ever sniffed tomato soup when cooking, you're a smoker  The harmful part of smoking is the burning organic matter, the tobacco, which puts out tar, arsenic and other nasties that cause cancer. None of this is present in vape liquid, but because you put something in your mouth and what looks like smoke comes out, stupid people will call you a smoker. Sad lack of education |

Exactly this, it isn’t smoking as there is no smoke!
Having nicotine in the oil doesn’t change that
It’s like saying someone who uses nicotine patches or chewing tobacco is a smoker! They may well be addicted to nicotine, but without combustion of matter there is no smoke

I agree, so they should, even though they are yet to be proven harmful, they should still be used in a designated area, it’s not nice walking through a cloud of strawberry cheesecake vape

If they don't stink why does my mate stink of sickly toffee...the same as his e-cig. And if all that comes out is the same as a boiling kettle then you won't mind if I boil mine and tip it over you. Seems fair to me.lol |

As others have said vaping is not smoking - there's no smoke, it doesn't make you smell and the presence of nicotine or not is irrelevant - I do agree though that it shouldn't be allowed in public places the same as smoking due to the clouds of vape that are created which would be irritating to some - even though it has yet to be proven harmful in any way. In fact my GP encouraged me to carry on vaping based on the various reports he'd read about it. |

it's not rocket science. It's called smoking because a cigarette produces smoke . It's called vaping because a e cig produces vapour. Nicotine or no nicotine it still not gonna change from vapour to smoke |

People would it lingers on your clothes I can even tell if a friend has been with someone else who smokes. Saying that its peoples right to be able to smoke at home or in many open spaces but if you do then its only fair people know on here if they do or not. |

I vape (the word comes from vapour so no smoke) I also have zero nicotine in my liquids I left smoker on my profile for about a yr then changed it as I now see myself as free from smoking |

When I switched from cigarettes to vape, I kept the smoker box ticked for 6 months - but explained clearly on our profile that I vaped.
After 6 months I unticked smoker box - but kept the explanation on the profile.
I’ve removed the explanation now because I’ve been off both for nearly 12 months now.
Regardless of whether you consider it smoking or not, I think it’s fair, honest, open and transparent that you make it known that you do. |
