"They are asking people help if they can instead of filming it on there phones like two chaps filmed it and posted it on line "
Mmm, I think you’re misunderstanding the point he’s actually making when he says:
"Surely intervention is better than mocking my colleagues and filming what they're doing for pleasure to others." |

"I understand that im just saying people have no respect for the police anymore when they put there life on the line every single day "
I agree with that, it’s not how your opening post read though. |

This is true but because the police have very little in the way to protect themself yet still have to protect and serve us , even when they do arrest people they are out back on the streets doing the same things within 6 hours. No consequences for actions now, even major crimes don't mean life as life sentences just a little holiday in a 3 meals a day and play time hotel really and only serve half a sentence.... sorry rant over xx |

They have a lot less fear/respect for them but part is down to policemen themselves and how some of them treat people and part down to them not all being 5ft 4 bruisers as they were in the past added to that parents don't teach their offspring to respect authority either makes a disastrous cocktail. |

The police need to start cracking some heads in those situations, they're not doing themselves any favours by looking like weak targets. I've seen three incidents like this in the news in the last couple of months, there's the flying kick one from this week, the one in the McDonalds where the officer is getting kicked on the floor and the one where the robber drags the police woman out of the car and attempts to drive off. Not to mention the chief who locked himself in his car and sat there cowering whilst his colleague was being murdered by that lunatic near parliament.
If they don't come down with some force soon and put fear back into these petty criminals then there will be anarchy. I respect the police and law and order, and it's a difficult job that they have to do without a doubt, but they need to start putting on a tougher front with the backing of the courts and government. |

They are scared of being accused of being too heavy handed or racists that's why the public camera video's every thing instead of helping , it's like they want them to f!#k up |

The problem with UK Police Forces is they have A) become so underfunded in recent years, B) some aspects of crime have changed over the years, so the stretched forces are having to cover lots of types of crimes, C) the Police no longer hold the key role of who gets charged with what crime but instead all cases are decided by the CPS, & finally, Police officers are hamstrung by Political Correctness rules in case criminal or minority elements get offended or upset.
When I was young, you respected the Police; nowadays, it's a case, as witnessed this week, that attacks on Police are regarded as Entertainment, for an utter moron to film the incidents and plaster it on Social Media to "claim their moment of fame!"
Give the Police the powers to deal with crime robustly. Ensure criminals know when they are caught, they will be put inside; if needs be, they can build their own prison!
Forget the woolly minded brigade whingeing about their "Rights". If you are a criminal at any level, you must accept to spend time inside.
So many people don't realise that the UK is soft on justice, whereas in other countries, you might be locked away for a long time, or you might even die! |
