Didn't realise I posted in the "wrong" place, so thought I'd resubmit in the Lounge for a larger audience and hopefully more insight. 
What is the Obsession with cake on here? I don't get it, please enlighten me, Ladies, as I'm genuinely confused.

Oh and to answer the OP I’ve no idea why but I concur with the general consensus that cake is life. I’m currently trying to cut out sugar and constantly crave some cakey goodness  |

There's just something about cake. Bad day? Cake will fix it. Peckish? Bit of cake. On a diet?fuck it carrot cake is surely one of your 5 a day? Women's pain? Cake. All of the cake. (Oh and some more just for good measure) |

I made banana bread last week.
It has the same ingredients as cake, same method, same baking style.
If you leave it out it goes stale the same way cake does- therefore it's cake. |
